Show ARTIST'S SKETCH OF ODLTJM MEMORIAL BTJILDIXG Work On Oldum Memorial Building Progressing Satisfactorily By Mrs. Josephine Pace The above picture is a copy of the Odium Memorial Building as it will appear when completed next month. Work is progressing favorably on the building, and much interest is shown in its construction con-struction by the citizens of St. George and Washington county. Former Dixieites, who are now living elsewhere are watching with interest, the printed accounts of its progress, and have experessed their determination to come back to St. George for the dedication, which is scheduled to take place in June of this year. The D.U.P. officers throughout the state are rejoicing with us in the great honor that has come to us in being the first city in the state to have such a wonderful Memorial Building presented to us by one of our former daughters. Try as we might, it is still hard to realize the magnitude of such a gift to a land that has had to work so hard for every cent that ever came to its people. But possibly pos-sibly because of this very fact, we can appreciate more than anyone else could do, the spirit that prompted prom-pted the gift. In it, we hope to have an enlarged en-larged picture of every Utah Pioneer, Pio-neer, who came to Dixie before 1869, as well as a fine display of choice relics. Articles of value that were brought across the plains as well as those made here in our locality by our pioneer craftsmen, will form the large part of our display. In the pioneer library, we hope to have a complete historical sketch of every pioneer, as well as personal diaries, journals or important letters that help tell of the early history of our state or county. All books that were printed print-ed or used in Utah before 1869 will be carefully preserved for their historical importance, as well (Continued on page eight) D.U.P.
