Show Rockville Mrs. Philetus Jones Reporter Clarence Ward of St. George is here visiting with his sister, Mrs. Steve Jennings. A crowd of men from here spent Saturday at St. George working on the Temple grounds. As there was no church held here last Sunday on account of the Easter pageant dress rehearsal at Zion Park, quite a few spent the day up there watching, as it was a lovely day. Mrs. Clara Hollands and son left for their home in Salt Lake after visiting here with relatives the past two weeks. Bp. Waldon Ballard left for Cane Beds Tuesday to look after his cattle there. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Middleton and sons of Salt Lake City were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Jones on last Saturday They were returning from Los Angeles, where they had been visiting relatives. Mrs. Middleton was formerly Miss Susie Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Jones, of Grafton. Heber Hirschi and Alpine De-mill De-mill are home from the Big Plain, where they have been putting in crops. Joseph Halverstadt. who is working at Bingham, spent a few-days few-days visiting his family here. A Mr. Carver of Douglas. Georgia visited at the home of Philetus Jones during the week. He was a mission friend of Gordon Gor-don Jones and had been working in the Salt Lake Temple and attending at-tending conference. Miss Barbara Terry spent a few days home from St. George. Miss Fae Terry, who is having a week's vacation from school in Los Angeles is visiting her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Terry here. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mahan spent Saturday and Sunday in Cedar City on business. Mrs. Arthur Miles and grandchildren grand-children of St. George and her daughter. Mrs. Karl Larson, visited visit-ed with Mr. and Mrs. Alton Jones last week-end. An appreciation party was held Friday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crawford, who have gone to Kentucky to make their home. Also for Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy J. Bailey and family, who have spent the winter here and left this morning for New York. An Easter dance was given by the Gleaner Girls Thursday evening. even-ing. The house was beautifully decorated and most of the girls wore their Easter bonnets. Several of the parents from here attended the musical festival held at St. George Saturday. Mr. Belliston, who held a first-aid first-aid class here during the past week, completed his course last night and left for Salt Lake City. Miss Erma Ruesch left yesterday yester-day for Salt Lake City to visit for some time. Harold Russell is remodeling bis home and painting it. Guy De-mill, De-mill, of Rockville and Wickley Gubler of La York in did the carpenter car-penter work and Henry Covington is doing the painting. |
