Show Information Asked Of Potato Growers Potato growers of Washington county are being asked this week to furnish the county agricultural conservation office with information informa-tion on their Irish potato crops for 1936 and 1937, as a part of the work of establishing farm acreage allotments for potatoes for the 1938 agricultural program, Wilford A. Schmutz, county AAA chairman announced Monday. Post cards are being mailed to all commercial com-mercial potato counties, for each farm growing an average of 3 or more acres of Irish potatoes. The information asked for on the post card Includes: The harvested har-vested acreage of potatoes in 1936-37, 1936-37, the yield per acre, and total quantity sold. When this information infor-mation is returned to the county office, it will be compiled and will be the basis of the potato acreage allotments, which will be established esta-blished in the 1938 program. |
