Show j Leeds Mrs. Lizzie McQuaid ! Reporter Mrs. Dalice Hartman, who has been critically ill since a recent operation, is slightly improved. Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Hartman of Mo- j dena are here to be with Mrs. j Hartman. j The M.I.A. play "Strangers in the House", was played last Tues-Iday Tues-Iday night in all three St. George wards. The East ward M.I.A. put on the play "Old Irish Lace" here during the mutual hour. The Ivins M.I.A. play "Performance by Request", Re-quest", was given the same evening. even-ing. Both plays were well cast and well given and were much i appreciated by a capacity house. I The Leeds ward played Tuesday! j night in the Washington ward. I Mr. and Mrs. Clair McMullin of i Beaver were visiting relatives here ' on Sunday. j Mrs. Jeanne Johnson and child- j ren of Hurricane were the guests ! of her sister, Mrs. David Stirling' over the week-end. ' A social was given in the ward chapel Monday night honoring Mr. and Mrs. Ralph W. McBride and family, who are leaving for Mt. Pleasant soon. Mr. McBride has been soil conservation supervisor with the local CCC camp. Mrs. Juanita Jones and son, Tommy are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Nichols. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Perry are moving to St. George to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Long of Cedar City are in town to be near Mrs. Long's mother, Mrs. Dallice Hartman. The Southern Utah Power company com-pany is making improvements around its transformers here. Mrs. Walter Eager spent the week in Hurricane with her mother, Mrs. Ephraim Webb. Reed Fuller and Ross Savage made a business trip to Los Angeles last week. Clinton Fuller, who was injured in-jured in a mine accident at Pioche, is home for a few days while he recuperates. Arch Perry, who has operated the Log Cabin Inn is turning the Inn over to a Mrs. Bracken, who also operates the LAnderson Y Service station. |
