SLACK Reporter Mr. and Mrs. Wite of Salt I-ake City are here giving a series of first aid lectures. .Miss Thelma Stevens is working work-ing at the Allred Cafe in Spring-dale. Spring-dale. Mrs. Carl Adams who has been visiting in Ogden returned during dur-ing the week. ' Leo Hirschi is working for Charles Esplin at the herd. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Snow of Mapleton are here visiting Mrs. Snow's parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Henry Hirschi. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lawrence of Cedar City and Mrs. Arthur Von Wagoner and Mr. and Mrs. , Russell Mahan were visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Jones at the Guy Chamberlain Ranch Sunday. Dr. Mclntyre has been holding examinatioss on Wednesday for I pre-school children. ' The local chapter of the D. neer celebration to be held here. The events of the day will consist con-sist of a hand cart parade at eight o'clock, program at nine, rodeo features from ten until noon. Luncheon for the Pioneers. A baseball game in the afternoon after-noon will complete the day. Chairman for the various committees com-mittees are as follows: Maxine Dalton, Ethel Ballard, Clayton Hirschi and Gordon Jones. The recent storm did a lot of damage to roads and trails in Zion National Park. A crew of fifty-five men are busy clearing the roads and getting water back into the pipe lines. Mrs. Dee Lester was hostess to the Thursday night bridge club, Honors went to Florence Jones and Maxine Dalton. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to eight guests. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Jones Sunday included in-cluded Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Miles, Richard Miles and George Brooks, Jr., of St. George and Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Larson of Washington. |
