Snow read the ceremony in the St. George Temple early Tuesday afternoon uniting in marriage Miss Nelda Cornelius, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cornelius of Virgin, and Howard Whitehead of St. George ,son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Whitehead. The ceremony was witnessed by many relatives of both bride and groom. Following the marriage the couple were honored with a wedding wedd-ing dinner at the Arrowhead hotel ho-tel banquet room. Plates were laid for 25 at one long table which was centered with a large basket of pink and peach colored gladiolus and ferns. Dainty plate favors were made for the occasion occas-ion by Mrs. Grant Whitehead, sister-in-law of the groom, who assisted with dinner plans. For her wedding gown the bride chose an empire model in cream-white slipper satin with intricate in-tricate inserts of white lace in sleeves, and yoke, and with sweeping circular train. Her corsage cor-sage was of white gardenias. Immediately following the dinner din-ner Mr. and Mrs. Whitehead left for a brief honeymoon to the Pacific Pa-cific coast.- They will return Sept. 1 to Manti, where they will reside re-side for the present, the groom having a position in the high school of that city. Mrs. Whitehead wore a rust brown and white ensemble for her going away outfit, with matching accessories. Several social so-cial affairs and dinners honored her the past week. |
