Show Friends of Mrs. Donworth Gub-ler, Gub-ler, the former Miss Rosmond Wood, honored her with a personal per-sonal shower at her home on Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Don Hutchins and Mrs. Leon Sullivan spent Sunday visiting relatives in Cali-ente, Cali-ente, Miss Theresa Hutchings came back with them for a week's stay. Mrs. June Nicholes has gone to Ely, Nevada, where she will stay for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. John C. Benson of Enterprise, daughter, and two grandchildren, one of which was the small daughter of the late Mrs. Clark Benson, spent Sunday visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Imlay. Im-lay. Mr. and Mrs.George Naegle and family, who have been visiting at the James N. Stanworth home, returned to Cedar City Sunday. Mrs. Vernon Campbell entertained enter-tained at a quilting party on Monday afternoon. Mrs. Florence Jones and daughter, daugh-ter, Alyce, of Rockville visited with Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Larson on Monday. Sunday a group of ladies honored hon-ored Mrs. Walter Brooks with a friendship shower at her home. The Wednesday night card club honored Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Fawson Faw-son at a chicken supper held in the LaVerkin fields on Thursday. After having visited for several sev-eral weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Vernon Campbell, Mrs. A. E. Geigle and son, Johnny, returned to their home in Salt Lake City on Tuesday. Miss Ruth Wilson spent Sunday here with her parents. She was enroute from Los Angeles to Connecticut where she will be married soon. Miss Sidney Isom came home Miss Shirley Isom came home from several weeks visiting with her sister, Mrs. Georgia Rinds-cott Rinds-cott of Salt Lake City. Tuesday, Claudius Hirschi, John Humpheries of Hurricane and Leo Bringhurst of Toquerville, who are members of the Stake Welfare board, attended the regional reg-ional meeting in St. George. Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Stuart are back for the summer. Word was received here by Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Wilson announcing an-nouncing the birth of a daughter daugh-ter to their daughter and husband. hus-band. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Fraz-ier Fraz-ier of Marysville, Utah. This past week Hurricane has been visited by several of the candidates aspiring to state and national government positions. Joe Humpheries is back from a three-month's vacation in Idaho Falls and vicinity with relatives. He returned Wednesday. |
