Show Rockville Mrs. Philetus Jones Reporter The Kleen Clever Kooks 4-H club girls wept to Zion National Park on the 23rd where they enjoyed a nice supper. They also planned a Mother's breakfast to be held soon. Mr. and Mrs. John Swartz-bough Swartz-bough of California left for their home Monday after visiting with relatives for a week. Dee Lester has gone to San Francisco to visit for some time. Mr. and Mrs. Afton Ballard and son, Larry and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Langston went to Salt Lake City last week, returning on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Ballard brought back a baby girl. A wedding reception was held at the Jones home on Monday in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Jones who were married recently in Fresno, Calif. A large crowd enjoyed an evening of games and a short program. Heber Hirschi assisted by Miss Dessie Jones and Mrs. Waldon Ballard kept the group entertained. The young couple were re-married at the St. George Temple on Tuesday and returned to their home in Berkeley on Wednesday. The bishopric with a crowd of men went to Croft's sawmill on Tuesday to finish getting out the lumber for the new recreation hall, which will soon be under way. Mrs. Ben Adams is visiting relatives rel-atives in Panguitch. Melville Hirschi was taken to the Iron county hospital with an abcess in his head caused from a punch in the face received while boxing recently. Miss Joyce Parry of Cedar City and son and daughter of St. George were among those present at the reception for their brother. bro-ther. Gordon Jones and wife Monday evening. |
