Show Huntsman-Mayhew Marriage Vows Exchanged In Temple Ceremony Tuesday Miss Leila Mae Huntsman, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Huntsman Hunts-man of this city, became the bride of Howard L. Mayhew of Pasadena, Calif., in a ceremony at the St. George Temple at 4 p. m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, with President Harold S. Snow reading read-ing the ceremony. Many relatives rela-tives of the bride, including her parents and grandparents, and the groom's grandfather, Levi C. White, by whom he was reared, attended the marriage. Following the ceremony the wedding party and guests were served a buffet luncheon at the Huntsman home after which the couple left immediately for a brief tour of the canyons before going to Pasadena to make their home. Miss Huntsman was honored at a shower last Friday evening on the lawns fronting the family home. More than 40 relatives and friends attended, presenting her with many gifts. An impromptu program of songs, music, readings read-ings and games occupied the evening. eve-ning. Light refreshments were served. For her marriage the bride wore a floor length old-fashioned model in white satin, with high neck and full length sleeves, shirred at the waistline. This was the handiwork of her sister, Miss Iris Huntsman. Her going-away going-away dress was a street length model in deep old rose with matching accessories. |
