This increase was due to the increase in local consumption, there being approximately approxi-mately 7,000 more cars registered during 1940 than during 1939. The State Road commission and other agencies will make a special spe-cial effort to bring an increase in tourist travel for 1941. Various means for advertising the slate are now being worked out and it is expected that next year will see a healthy increase in out-of-state visitors. |
