In the article in your issue of August 22nd. which announced me as a candidate for re-election, one line was left out in my statement. state-ment. It should have read, "in the last session opposed putting on our law books any legislation that would discriminate against a married woman even though her husband have a good job. Such matters should be left to departments depart-ments to use their judgment as to efficiency." Would you please give me the opportunity to make clear my views in your valuable paper? I think it would be a great mistake mis-take to put such a law on our books, or in fact any law that would deprive a citizen of the right to hold office no matter as to color, religious creed or sect. respectfully, Albert E.
