Show Leeds CCC Camp On Sunday, July 25, Company 585 -invaded New Harmony with its base-ball Nine, and left with the victorious score of 18-0. A large band of rooting members accompanied the team under the direction of Lt. iNeil Lamb, Supt. R. W. McBride and Dr. Fred Stahman. In the third inning the Leeds lads began to pile up the score. Several balls were hit over the school house by such batters at Gaston Smith, Bill Krasniewski, and Avil Gross. Pop Peters umpired um-pired the game, but not without some competition from bystanders. Superintendent McBride was by far the outstanding sheer leader of the Leeds Team, i The Girl's Soft ball Team of . Leeds and the New Harmony1 .Girls Team played a second game. , The Leeds Lassies came out equal-; equal-; ly as well, obtaining a score of , 22-2. Even though the game was j wild and full of errors it was throughly enjoyed by all. Pop Peters, the lucky devil, umpired for the ladies, also. After the j games the townsmen of New Har-I Har-I mony entertained the visitors with Ihorseracing and broncho busting. New Junior Officer at Leeds Camp Company 585 heartily welcomed its new Junior Officer, Neil W. Lamb, 1st Lt. Art-Res., last Wednesday. Wed-nesday. July 21, when he arrived from Fort Knox, Kentucky. Replacements Arrive i j Last Friday sixteen "rookies" j arrived for Company 585 to replace re-place those enrollees who have jbeen lately discharged. Lt. Law-jrence Law-jrence J.
