Show Shipping Point Inspection For Fruits and Vegetables This is the fifteenth year of the Federal shipping point inspection service on fresh fruits and vegetables, vege-tables, administered by the Bureau of Agricultural Economics. Nearly five times as many carloads of these commodities were inspected at shipping points in 1936 as during dur-ing 1923, the first full year this service was available. During the first years the service ser-vice was available in only a few states and only during the harvesting har-vesting season of certain products. Today it is available during the entire year, under cooperative agreements with the state, in Utah, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Lousiana, Oregon, Texas and Washington. |
