Show Pine Ya!!ey Mrs. Klizulj'th Eeckstrom j Ueporter i The Pine Valley ward spent the j2 1th of July by joining with the j i other wards of the Stake in the program and sports held in the recreation park here. In the evening even-ing a one act play under the direction of Mrs. Eula Jacobson and Miss Adelia Hall was present-led present-led in tiie ward hall. Those taking part were: Maurine Gardner, Roma Snow, Adelia Hall, Hogarth Jacobson, Dean Gardner, and Julian Hall. It was greatly enjoyed enjoy-ed by those who attended. A dance concluded the celebration. Professor and Mrs. Edgar M. Jensen of the B.Y.U. in Provo and Miss Mary Jenson of Ephriam arrived ar-rived here Friday to spend some time visiting at the home of Reuben Gardner. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Nelson of Washington D. C, Mr. Virgil Snow and Miss Loie Watson of St. George returned to their homes on Monday after spending the week-end here with Mr. and Mrs. Clawson Burgess. Forest Supervisor Bettenson, Rangers Baldwin and Swapp, Game Wardens Stratton and Mac-farlane, Mac-farlane, Mr. Wm. Atkin of the local game Assn. and Mr. Coswell of the Ogden Forest Office, together to-gether with a party of the local stockmen spent Tuesday making a survey of the range conditions and an estimate of the numbers of deer on the range here. Wendell Jones of Cedar City is spending the week here visiting at the home of his grandfather, Reuben Gardner. Miss Ida Bracken and Wallace Bracken of Salt Lake City are guests at the home of their sister, Mrs. P. E. Beckstrom. Mrs. Bernella Jones and four children, Miss Mamie Gardner, and Mr. and Mrs Leonard Ashdown of Cedar City spent Thursday and Friday here visiting friends and relatives and enjoying a camping trip in the canyon. The three ladies were former residents of this place. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Mc-Mullin Mc-Mullin of Leeds were the weekend week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Malin Cox. Mrs. Caroline Bohman of Monroe, Mon-roe, who is spending the summer here with her daughter, Mrs. Jas. Baldwin, has been confined to her bed the past three days with illness. ill-ness. Mrs. J. M. Moody of St. George is spending some time here with her daughter, Mrs. W. J. Reich-mann. Reich-mann. Mrs. Ida Seegmiller of St. George was the week-end guest of her daughter Mrs. Bruce Snow. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gardner and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Thompson of Cedar City were among those who spent the 24th in the canyon here. Dean Gardner and Hogarth and Hugh Jacobson attended the rodeo in Cedar City. |
