Show Celebration Held At Enterprise on 24th ENTERPRISE, Utah July 26 Pioneer Day was celebrated here by those who were unable to attend at-tend the Stake Day celebration at Pine Valley or other similar events. Bombardment from 3:30 A.M. until sunrise and the hoisting of the flag, started the day off. The string band played during the flag raising ceremony. Other events of the day were as follows: Meeting in the gym at 10:30 A. M. at which the following fol-lowing program was rendered. Opening song by the congregation; prayer, Chaplain Jos. A. Terry; Tableau, "Come, Come Ye Saints", sung by mixed quartett; Rose Barlocker, Alta Truman, Durward Terry, Heber Holt and acted out by June Simpkins, Delia Adair and Larry Hunt, Tableau, "This is the Place", sung by Alma Terry and acted by B. C. Farnsworth; Tableau, Tab-leau, "Indians", by Grant Terry and acted by Clawson Hunt; Tableau, "Seagulls", Alta Truman and Rose Barlocker; Tableau, "A Typical Morman Home", Amos Hall and family; "Love at Home" sung by mixed quartett; "lovely Utah", represented by Darlean Hunt and sung by Howard Holt; Clown stunts and jokes by Ivan Jones; song "Utah, We Love Thee." by congregation. The day was completed with races and sports for children, boxing, box-ing, horse races and ball games. The game of ball between the single girls and the married women wo-men was the most interesting event of the afternoon with the married women carrying off the ' honors. A dance for the children j in the evening followed by an adult dance finished the day. |
