Show Largest Crowd In History Checks On Forest At Pine Valley Forest officials recorded the largest crowd of visitors in Pine Valley at the Stake Day outing, ever to attend a public celebration in Pine Valley at one time, states Willis R. Dunkley. Two hundred and fifty people checked in at the park the night before the 24th, and One thousand two hundred hun-dred and seventy-one people on the 24th making a total of one thousand five hundred and twenty-one people in the park to attend the celebration. Many of the visitors expressed themselves as having a most enjoyable en-joyable time. -The entire day of sports, programs, band concert and stunts was followed in their order and furnished plenty of entertainment en-tertainment throughout the full day. Stake officials feel so pleased over the success of the day that they have issued an edict proclaiming pro-claiming this to be an annual event, and encourage people to prepare for even a bigger day next year. Forest officials had the park in readiness and were well pleased with the crowd and the cooperation coopera-tion of the visitors. The sponsors of the day wish to express their appreciation to these officials in helping the day to be so successful. success-ful. Mr. Dunkley states that Mrs. Hazel Bradshaw, who was in charge of the program by the Daughters of the Pioneers at Camp Washington, announced that four hundred early Dixie pioneers were in attendance at 'the program pro-gram and lunch held at Camp Washington Sunday afternoon, July 25. Almost every town in the county from Springdale to Central was represented, and many of the pioneers said that by all means such a day should be made an annual event.
