Show Leeds CCC Camp Safety Engineer Lectures JNIr. Carrick, Safety Engineer of the Soil Conservation Service, Albuquerque Region, gave an interesting in-teresting talk on safety to the men of Company 5S5 last Wednesday evening. The gist of Ir. Carrick's speech was the definite relationship relation-ship between the safety program in the Soil Conservation Service, and that carried out by private industry. in-dustry. He pointed out that, besides skill, safety-mindedness was the one thing for which an employer looked. Therefore, cooperation in the safety program would not only be of great benefit to the men in the service, but would also aid them materially in getting ahead in industry later. Mr. Carrick's lecture was greatly appreciated by the men, the foremen and Supt. R. V. McBride, at whose invitation it was given. Recreation Trip Last Sunday the men of Barracks Bar-racks No. 3 enjoyed a recreation trip to Zion National Park as the award given them by Lt. Lawrence J. Alexander, the commanding officer of-ficer of company 5S5, for the best kept barrack of the week. The boys spent most of the day in the park, bringing their lunch. They I greatly enjoyed the trip, and look forward to winning additional recreation re-creation trips. Visitor Mr. Anderson, Educational Advisor Ad-visor Company 255S, St. George, accompanied by his wife, and Mrs. Thompson paid a short visit to Leeds Camp on July S,' Mr. Kenealy-Stevens, the Educational Advisor, of the Leeds Company, showed them about the camp. |
