Show FORMER BISHOP OF WASHINGTON WASHING-TON PASSES AWAY AT TRENTON Trenton, Nov. 22. The funeral of Marcus E. Funk, 8 5, who died Friday following a long illness was held Monday afternoon in the ward chapel. Interment was in the Trenton cemetery. ceme-tery. Mr. Funk was born in Bornholm, Denmark, Dec. 3, 1842 and came to America with his parents in 18 5 6, spending about three years in the east before crossing the plains to Utah. Soon after arriving in Salt Lake he went to Richmond. He was active in both civic and Church affairs. He was called to help settle Utah's Dixie where he was bishop of Washington. Again in 18S9 he pioneered at Sanford. Colo., where after a short stay he moved out 2 5 miles further and established es-tablished Eastdale where he was also bishop. He lived there until 1909 when he returned to Cache valley, settling here, practically seven miles directly west of his original home in Richmond. oui vivuig are uiree wiuows: iurs.
