Show EXPW)RE DRY CREEK CANYON (Iron County Record) A party of Iron and Washington county residents, from Kanarra and New Harmony explored Dry Cieek canyon, this county, last week, going go-ing a part of the distance by horse and the balance on foot They found many attractions all the way up the canyon, and located a' cave that has been, spoken of frequently by those who have been there, the magn'fifence of which equals any scenery to be found in this part of the state. In this little explored canjon are to be found majestic cliffs, spires cathedrals, and grotesquely outlined cliffs that give the beholders thrill after thrill. There is also much vegetation, veg-etation, wild flowers in profusion. In the upper regions of the canyon are majestic pines while in the lower low-er and middle reaches cedars grow In abundance. Berry Williams and Elmer Taylor headed the party which consisted of 28 members. |
