Show ORDINANCE An Ordinance Requiring a License Li-cense From Wholesalers. Be it ordained by the City Council of St. George, Utah: SECTION 1 WHOLESALERS TO OBTAIN LICENSE. Every person, per-son, firm or corporation, before engaging in, or pursuing the business or vocation of a wholesaler, whole-saler, who is not otherwise licensed licens-ed by St. George City, for such business or vocation, shall obtain a license so to do, and make payments for said license annually in advance, into the city treasury as follows: For each year or any part thereof, the sum of $30.00. said license to expire December 31st of the year in which it is issued. SECTION 2 WHOLESALER! DEFINED. For the purposes of this ordinance a wholesaler is hereby defined to be one who sells any goods, wares, merchandise, merchan-dise, or other personal property to dealers, merchants, retailers or others for resale, provided, that nothing herein 6hall be so construed as to prevent any person, firm or corporation from selling produce raised by themselves. them-selves. SECTION 3 PENALTY. Any person violating any provisions of this ordinance shall be punished by fine in any sum not exceeding one hundred dollars or by imprisonment im-prisonment in the city jail not longer than three months or by both such fine and imprisonment. SECTION 4 EMERGENCY In the opinion of the City Council of St. George City, it is necessary to the peace, health and saftey of the inhabitants of St. George City that this ordinance become effective immediately. SECTION 5 EFFECT. . This ordinance shall take effect upon its publication. Passed by the City Council of St. George City on the 14 day of April, 1934. Approved by the mayor on the same day. John T.
