Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Salt Lake City, State of Utah, Office of State Road Commission. Com-mission. April 12, 1934. Sealed bids will be received by the State Road Commission of Utah, State Capitol, Salt Lake City, Utah, at 2:15 o'clock p. m. Friday, April 27th, 1934, and at that time publicly opened for construction of two concrete T-beam T-beam bridges; one syphon, one double 12 ft. concrete box culvert and one concrete rigid frame bridge in Washington and Garfield Gar-field Counties, the same being U. S. Public Works Project No. N.R. H. 81-E & F.L.P. 13-A between La Verkin Jet. and Dalton Wash and N.R.H. 19-F, between Pan-guitch Pan-guitch and Orton. The lengths of bridges and culvert cul-vert to be constructed are 66'-4", 123'-6", 26'-6" and 22'-0", and the principal items of work are approximately as follows: Channel Excavation, 4000 Cu. Yds; Structural Excavation, 2250 Cu. Yds; Concrete Class "A", 1275 Cu. Yds; Reinforcing Steel, 211,000 lbs; Common Excavation, 200 Cu. Yds; and Gravel Surface, 50 Cu. Yds. The attention of bidders is directed to the Special Provisions covering subletting or assigning the contract and to the use of Domestic Materials. The minimum wage paid to all skilled labor employed on this contract shall be 60 cents per hour. The minimum wage paid to all unskilled labor employed on this contract shall be 50 cents per hour. Plans and specifications are on file in the office of the State Road Commission, Salt Lake City, and at District Engineers' Offices at Cedar City and Richfield, Utah, where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specifications, Specifica-tions, proposal, bidding blanks and plans will be furnished at Salt Lake City, on depositing $2.00, which will be returned, providing contractor submits an acceptable bid and returns the plans within seven days after bids are received. Any additional information may bo secured at the office of the State Road Commissioner. Com-missioner. Each bidder must submit a letter from nn approved surety company guaranteeing to furnish said bidder with required bond. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved. Cash, certified check, or cashier's cash-ier's check for five per cent of total amount of bid made payable pay-able to the State Road Commission Commis-sion must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith and a gurantee that if awarded the contract, con-tract, the bidder will execute the contract and igive bond as required. re-quired. A certificate of compliance on the prescribed form, which will be furnished for that purpose shall be signed and submitted by all bidders, in accordance with Executive Order No. 6646, issued by the President on March 14, 1934. Only bids accompanied by such certificate shall be considered con-sidered or accepted. The contractor con-tractor to whom award is made shall require subcontractors and dealers furnishing equipment, materials, mat-erials, and supplies to sign similar sim-ilar certificates before making awards to or purchases from such subcontractors or dealers, copies of which shall be furnished to the contracting officer.
