Show 151 VALLEY HIGH SGH80L PLACES THIRD IN STOCK JUDGING; i A judging team of five F. F. ! A. boys and their instructor, I Mr. Don Tobler, returned from ' the state contest at Reno, Ne- vada last week. The boys judged ' crops and livestock, also parti-1 cipated in the state Public speaking speak-ing contest. Theron Leavitt of Mesquite represented re-presented the Virgin Valley chapter chapt-er and won first place. He was awarded a gold medal by Pres. Clark of the University of Nevada. Ne-vada. The judging team consisted of j Jack Leavitt, Rondo Bauer, Dan Waite and Ferron Bunker. This team won third place in the state. Nine F. F. A. chapters were represented at the contest. The Alamo chapter team coached coach-ed by Mr. Milvon Leavitt, vocational voca-tional agriculture instructor won first place, or the sweepstake cup, by making the highest combined com-bined score in judging crops and livestock. |
