Show CARROTS, BEETS. CHERRIES SOON READY FOR SHIPMENT j Representatives of the Dixie Produce Pro-duce association spent Wednesday in Hurricane looking over the fruit orchards and in the evening meeting meet-ing with the association directors from that section and with a committee com-mittee of representative fruit grow- ers to work out the details of the program for handling the crop. Springdale, Rockville and Virgin were visited today. There are about 15 acres of peas in this section ' which axe. about ready for market. The association plans to begin the shipping of carrots and and beets about May 25 from "Washington "Wash-ington and Santa Clara, and cherries cher-ries from the eastern end of the county. A ten of bean seed received a short time ago, is being planted, the recent rains having encouraged encourag-ed this project on Enterprise, Gun-lock Gun-lock and Meadows dry farms. |
