Show IMPORTANT SHIPPERS' MEETING An important meeting of shippers of Utah, Idaho, and portions of Oregon, Ore-gon, Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming Wyom-ing will be held at the Hotel Utah, Salt Lake City, today starting at 9:30 a. m. At this meeting will be arranged all matters pertaining to the successful success-ful and profitable movement to market mar-ket by the railroads, of products of the agricultural interests, such as potatoes, prunes, apples, grapes, cantaloupes, hay, live stock, etc. The service of the Central Western West-ern Shippers advisory board is open to any shipper, receiver, distributer or representative of any branch of public life interested in promoting adequate and efficient transportation transporta-tion service by the railroads. There are no dues or fees incumbent upon members or the public attending the meeting or availing themselves of the board's service. The work of the board is endorsed by such authorities as Secretary of Agriculture Jardine, Secretary of Commerce Hoover, the National Manufacturers Assn., national, state and city chambers of commerce plus thousands of individual industrial, financial and agricultural executives. Those not now indentified with the board but desiring to aid in its activities are urged to get in touch with the state secretary of their state. The state secretary for Utah is J. W. Ellingson, G. T. M., Amalgamated Sugar Company, Ogden. The News would gladly have given notice of this meeting last Thursday had the notice been sent out earlier. It was dated Salt Lake City June 29 and was not received here until paper for July 1 was published. |
