Show DIME FARMERS WILL PLANT LATE TOMATOES ,i place of early tomatoes, which railed this year, the farmers of Utah's Dixie are preparing a late tomato crop. The blight which destroyed the early tomatoes that were to have been harvested this month, has been diagnosed as"western yellow blight," and is a condition that arises in periods per-iods of low humidity, and which cannot can-not be successfully combated, according accord-ing to Alma Wilson, superintendent of the Davis county experimental farm of the (J. A. C, and W. J. Martin, Mar-tin, agricultural supervisor ot the Union Pacific. Shipment of Elberta peaches from Dixie is expected, July 15, and it is thought that from 15 to 20 carloads will move out of that district Des-eret Des-eret News. |
