Show ARTIFICIAL LAKE IS PLANNED FOR PINE VALLEY Representative Citizens of County to Study Feasibility Feasibili-ty of. Recreation and Water Wa-ter Storage Plan Friday Representative citizens of Washington county will join with Forest Ranger Ben Swapp and Game Warden Oliver Stratton tomorrow to-morrow in a study of the possibilities pos-sibilities of an artificial lake on Pine Valley mountain. Representatives of the city council, the county commissioners, commission-ers, fish and game association and engineers of St. George will leave early tomorrow morning and will meet in Pine Valley at about 9 o'clock. From there the trip to the mountain top will be on horseback and arrangements arrange-ments have - been made by Forest For-est Ranger Ben Swapp. The site of the proposed reservoir res-ervoir is in Cabin valley on top of the mountain at an elevation eleva-tion of about 10,000 feet. During Dur-ing the winter snow piles up to a depth of from thirty to fifty feet. The runoff from this, it is claimed, would keep the reservoir reser-voir full at all times. The reservoir, res-ervoir, stocked with fish, would be used for recreational purposes purpos-es and it is thought that the body of water on the mountain would also act as a natural supply sup-ply for the various springs at the lower elevations. The feasibility and cost of the proposed project will be gone into by engineers Friday and a plan adopted which may lead to the building of the reservoir.
