Show VIRGIN Our town board election has caused considerable interest among our people. The judges of election when counting the ballots, cast out eleven ballots as defective. The town board members counte4 the Ballots Tuesday showing that the votes were not thrown out. The way the election stands now is as follows: For Town President, Joseph Maloney, 30; Isaac Turner, Tur-ner, 26; For Trustees, Alma Flanigan, 63; Niles Earl, 43; Emma Em-ma Cornelius, 37; Leslie Wilcox, 56; Orln Ruesch, 20; Evan Lee, 11; Warren Bleak, 1. The boys of the town all turned out and went up the dry wash Monday to make a wood road so that they could haul out their winter's wood. Armistice Day passed quietly here. A dance had been planned but because of the boys all being gone to work on the road, it was postponed. Mrs. Alberta Ruesch has been quite ill the past week. The Flanigan brothers are preparing pre-paring to move their sawmill to Kolob. Quite a number from here attended at-tended conference at Hurricane on Sunday and enjoyed the talks of the speakers. |
