Show Kuim Englestead of Hurricane underwent a serious operationj for ruptured appendix at the lo-, cal hospital last Thursday night.: Mrs. Jed Giles and family! left Wednesday for Salt Lake City after spending several days here visiting Mr. Giles who has charge of the airways work in this section while William Thomas Thom-as is on his vacation. Ray Whipple and Milton Wal-j ker came in Sunday from Los Angles to visit relatives. President and Mrs. B. Glen Smith returned Monday from Payson and other Northern Utair points where they spent their vacation. Fred Ward, a guard at the Federal Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, arrived here last Thursday Thurs-day to spend a few weeks with relatives and friends. He visited visit-ed with his mother in Salt Lake City enroute. Mr. Ward was married mar-ried to a young lady from Car-thaga, Car-thaga, Missouri on May 13, but due to illness in the family she was unable to accompany him on this trip. Miss Viig'nia Heggie, . who is employed .it the Yogue Beauty Parlor, returned Wednesday from at wo month's vacation at her home in Clavkstoti. She also spent a week nt the Quish School of Beauty, in Salt Lake City. , |
