Show UTAH VETERANS MUST ENROLL IN STATE FOR CCC CAMPS Veterans throughout the country coun-try have apparently gained the impression that by going to Washington they can obtain authority au-thority for immediate enrollment in the CCC camps. This impression im-pression is erroneous, states. Mr. E. A. Littlefield, Manager of the Veterans' Administration in Utah. General Frank T. Hines, Administrator Admin-istrator of. Veterans' Affairs, has been advised by the Director of Emergency Conservation Work that no special enrollments of transient veterans congregating in Washington will be authorized, authoriz-ed, and that all veterans chosen for assignment to the CCC will be selected locally by the Regional Re-gional Office of the Veterans' Administration. Only those veterans vet-erans whose homes are in the-District the-District of Columbia will be selected sel-ected by the Veterans' Administration Adminis-tration in Washington for CC work there. There are no vacancies va-cancies ln the veterans' quotd' for the Eastern Stales to which veterans from other states may be assigned. - ' - There are several vacancies in the veterans' quota for Utah that are not filled, and veterans interested in-terested in enrolling in the CCC should contact the Veterans' Administration Ad-ministration at Salt Lake. City, Utah, before the 14th of this month, at whj'ch time the enrolling enroll-ing period ends. |
