Show FmHA loans available for flood losses President Reagan has declared Uintah, Uin-tah, Daggett, and Duchesne Counties, along with several other counties in the State of Utah, eligible for FmHA Emergency loans. The applicants must be farmers who have sustained subtantial losses as a result of recent flooding, landslides, and storms. The loans can only be made to cover 80 percent of the actual production losses, and up to 100 percent of the physical losses caused by recent disasters. The present interest rate for applicants who are unable to obtain credit elsewhere is 8 percent. For those who can obtain credit elsewhere the interest rate is 14.25 percent. Emergency loans are made to assist eligible disaster victims in sustaining and rehabilitating their normal farming farm-ing operations. Applications for these loans must be received in the FmHA office by January 16, 1984 for Uintah and Duchesne Counties and by January 30, 1984 for Daggett County. |
