Show Dear Editor: Saturday evening, June 25, several cars were stopped and tickets issued to motorist leaving the Vernal City Softball park. The tickets were given for using the road between Uintah High School and the Softball fields. There were several barricades placed plac-ed at each end of this newly surfaced road, but there were not enough positioned posi-tioned at the exit from the ball park to make it clear the road was closed. If the city insists on giving tickets for the use of this road, they should put up sufficient warning devices. I believe there should be barricades with signs and lights on them. This, I feel, would prevent unwanted use of the road and be safer for those using adjacent roads. LES TAYLOR |
