Ford was the 1980 PRCA World bareback riding champion. Ford competed in the 1980 Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo and split first and second places. The 1981 Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo is set for July 9-10-11. The Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo is set for July 9, 10 and 11. Uintah Utes defeat 1 -A champs Utah wrestlers, Chris Brown, 119 pounder from Delta ; Stewart Richards, 112, Box Elder and Ryan Western, unlimited. Delta, were selected as honorable mentions on the 1981 Scholastic Ail-American Wrestling Team by Wrestling USA. Brown posted a 107-9 record in high school and placed first twice. He also nabbed second and third places. Richards had an 82-8 record and placed first, twice and fifth place, once. Western posted a 76-8 record and placed first, twice and second, once. Uintah High School seniors, Brett Brown and Josh Reynolds, weren't named to the team, but each tussler had impressive high school careers. Brown nabbed first in 1981 and second in 1980. Reynolds nabbed first place in the 98 pound class and beat Richards as a sophomore in the 1979 state meet and netted seconc place in 1981. Uintah High School wrestltxi t';ims from Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and Utah during the past school year Skyline captured first place in the A-l class in Idaho with 237' 2 points and Blackfoot placed second at 1 05 1 Capital netted third place at 89'? and Nampa placed fourth at 67'j points Bonneville nabbed fifth place at 67 points. Smuir beat Hall, 5-0, in overtime. Rigby placed first in the Idaho A : tournament with 127 points and Snake River placed second at 118'j p.iints Preston nabbed third place at 8.3'. points and Shelley garnered fourth place at 83 points. Shelley had thret first place champs in Brad Darrington unlimited; Dan Becklund, 145 and Bei Coronado, 132. Preston's Johr Beckstead, 167, nabbed first place. Evanston captured lirst place in the Wyoming 1-A State Tournament wit! 100 points. Torrington and Wheatlanr tied for second place at 85 uj points Douglas nablxjd fourth place at 71 points and Buffalo placed fifth at 6: points.
