Show Single parents Dear Editor, In this day of inflation and budget cutbacks, one way of surviving is for citizen groups to organize to help each other. I recently read of one such group organized - Single Parents - and I thought, wow! Vernal really needs a group organized like this. So I got excited, ex-cited, and set up an organizational date, June 18, 1981, and place - Uintah County Library at 7 p.m. We single parents have special needs for a social life, emotional support, financial aid, babysitters, often extra training, jobs-and I feel that collectively collec-tively we can share and help each other meet these needs. One exciting concept is that this group can be any kind of an organization we need it to be - a social group, information exchange, hot line for crises, lobbying group, etc. All you readers out there who are divorced, separated, widowed, or never married who have 1 or more kids, come on, let's all get excited, tell your single friends about it, and be there. That's Thursday, June 18, 1981, 7 p.m. at the Uintah County Library in Vernal. If you need more information you can call me at 789-5417 or Barb after 3 p.m. at 789-5593. , Thank you, CLARA ALLEN |
