CAPPS Church ceremony-unites ceremony-unites Couey, Capps Mary Sue Couey and Marvin Eugene Capps were married May 22 in the First Baptist Church by Reverend Howard Porter. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy E. Couey, Meeker, Colorado. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin T. Capps, Vernal. For her wedding the bride chose an organza and lace dress with a Victorian collar, sweetheart neckline and long lace sleeves. The bodice was overlaid with lace and an apron of lace with an organza ruffle circled the full skirt. Organza ruffles also decorated the hem. She wore a cathedral length veil trimmed with lace and fastened to a lace cap. Her bridal bouquet was of yellow, peach and blue daisies with white carnations around a single red rose. The groom wore a black western cut tuxedo accented by a peach carnation boutonniere. Mrs. Ken Novak, sister of the bride, was the matron-of-hohor, with Kim Lyman, bridesmaid and Kimi Novak, a niece, as flowergirl. They wore matching mat-ching spring dresses. One was peach, one blue and one yellow. They carried nosegays of yellow, peach and blue daisies and white carnations mixed with baby's breath. Serving as bestman was Scott Liebhardt. Groomsman was Richard Capps and ring bearer was Taz Capps, both brothers of the groom. Ushering was Dan Skinner. The mother of the bride chose a blue chiffon floor length dress for her daughter's wedding. She wore a corsage cor-sage of baby blue carnations and baby's breath tied with pink ribbon. The wedding was attended by family and friends of the bride and groom in the auditorium decorated with baskets of daisies and carnations in the bride's colors of peach, yellow and white. Out of town guests attended from Amarillo, Texas. The First Baptist Church was also the setting for a reception which honored the newlyweds following the ceremony. The white wedding cake was three tiered with Mary and Marv written in blue on the center layer. It was topped j with love birds which matched centerpieces on the serving tables.
