(Bob) Wolthuis this week announced announc-ed the appointment of J. Wallace Corbin as Chairman of his campaign committee in Grand County. Mr. Corbin is president and general manager of the Midland Mid-land Telephone Company, serving cities in Southern Utah and parts of Colorado. He promises to lead an in- tensive campaign to elect I the Republican hopeful to Utah's First District Congressional Con-gressional seat in the U. S. House of Representatives. "I feel that Bob is by far i the best qualified man to serve the people of southeastern south-eastern Utah and the people of Utah as a whole," said Mr. j Corbin as he accepted the appointment. He added that he believes the people of Utah need a Congressman who expresses support of President Nixon and his policies. Mr. Wolthuis has served on the staff of Sen. Wallace F. Bennett for the past eight years. As the Senator's Administrative Ad-ministrative Assistant, he has gained experience in Congressional processes and has become involved with the concerns and needs of the people of the state, according ac-cording to Mr. Corbin. "We hope to have as many people as possible meet Bob and learn first hand of !5s superior educational background, back-ground, experience and ability," ab-ility," Mr. Corbin said. |
