Show U-95 Project Work Slated By State ' Completion of paving of , scenic U-95 in San Juan County moved closer to completion com-pletion this week with the approval of $140,000 in State Sta-te - Highway Department funds for use in paving a section of the road across state land. This money will be used along with $2.6 million which was already earmarked for construction across federal lands from Hall's Crossing to Comb Ridge. The two sources sourc-es of funding, will probably be combined into one project pro-ject and bids will be let next week. With the award of bids for this section of road, only 30 miles will be left which are not under contract. The State Sta-te Department of Highways is now in the process of preparing pre-paring an application to the Federal Government for an appropriation of . some ' $4.5 million, which will be used to finish the road between Atomic Rock and White Canyon, Can-yon, the last remaining mileage mile-age to be paved. |
