Show City Court Records Busy Week Despite a long weekend, Moab City Court experienced experienc-ed a busy week with a number num-ber of matters coming to the a'.tention of City Judge Donald Crist. On June 30, John P. D. McDonald, -from Minneso ta. appeared in court on a warrant from Ilenhepin County, Minnesota, for receiving re-ceiving and concealing stolen sto-len property. McDonald, when advised of the charge, sijrnod extradition waivers and was to be returned to M nneapolis to face the charge. Eber Phillips appeared on July 1, on a charge of leaving the scene of anac-cident anac-cident and failure to yield the right of way. He pleaded plead-ed guilty to both charges and was fined $50 for the first charge and $30 for failing to yield the right of wav. A DWI charge brought Pearl McKnight to court on July 1 and after pleading plead-ing guilty, she was fined $200 or 40 days in jail. July 2 saw Myron A. Ger-bcr Ger-bcr of Palisade, Colorada, brought to court on a DWI charge. After pleading guilty. guil-ty. Corker was fined $200 or 40 clays in jail. Oliver C. Wahlstrom appeared ap-peared on July 2 on a charge of engaging in an obscene or lewd act and after pleading guilty was sentenced to 30 days in jail, his sentence was later lat-er commuted to a fine of $299. Three eighteen-year-olds. Kim Neal, David Biersch:ed and Dob Edwards appeared in court on July 2 on a charge of illegal possession. o'F an alcoholic beverage. All three pleaded guilty and were fined $25 each or o days in jail. A guilty plea to a -DWI charge was entered on Julv G by Tony Hernandez. He was sentenced to pay a fine ()f $200 or spend 40 days in jail. |
