Show Steve Boyden Leaving Soon for Study Award in Scotland Under Rotary Grant Steve Boyden, of 133 E. 2nd North, Moab, has been awarded an Undergraduate Scholarship from The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International Inter-national for the year 1973-74 year. Under terms of the award, he will seek admission admis-sion to the University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Scotland, where he w ill pursue Russian area studies. Mr. Boyden is a student at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, where he is studying Russian Language and culture. One of more than 500 young men and women who recently re-cently received educational awards from the Rotary Foundation, Mr. Boyden was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Moab. Dr. Cleve A. Raymond Ray-mond is president of the club, one of more than 15,400 Rotary Ro-tary clubs in 149 countries and geographic regions. The Rotary Foundation was created by Rotary International Interna-tional to provide educational and vocational study programs pro-grams for qualified young people in countries other than their own. Award recipients are expected to strive for academic excellence while serving as ambassadors of good will through contacts with Rotary clubs and others in the host country. Students receive funds from the Foundation to cover costs of round-trip transportation, transpor-tation, tuition, meals, lodg- ing, intensive language training, train-ing, and educational travel during the year abroad. The Foundation is supported support-ed by contributions from individual in-dividual Rotarians and Rotary Ro-tary clubs throughout the world. Since 1947, more than 5,400'young men and women have pursued studies in a new cultural environment at a cost of more than $14.5 million., This year, 528 students will participate in graduate, undergraduate, un-dergraduate, technical training, train-ing, and teachers of the handicapped han-dicapped programs at a cost of approximately $2.8 million. mil-lion.
