Show Ray Branscom Named To Utah Agencies Board Ray Branscom of Moab has been named by Gov. Calvin L. Rampton to membership mem-bership on the Board of Utah Agencies. Utah Agencies is the official Utah Board which represents the State in matters mat-ters pertaining to airline routing and scheduling in actions before the Civil Aeronautics Aer-onautics Board. The recent session of the Utah Legislature enlarged the size of the Utah Agencies Agen-cies Board, giving the Governor Gov-ernor the option of placing on that body representatives from every community In the state which receives regularly re-gularly scheduled air service. ser-vice. Moab currently Is served ser-ved by Sun Valley Key Airlines, Air-lines, but Frontier Airlines still has the authority for the Moab - Grand Junction segment, and must contract with Key to handle that authority au-thority under a ruling from the CAB. Mr. Branscom, a local real estate agent, has served for four years as a member of the Grand County Economic Econom-ic Development Committee and has headed that Committee's Com-mittee's sub-committee on transportation during that -time. He led the long fight before the CAB with Frontier Airlines when that company petitioned to drop Moab entirely en-tirely from its schedule. Mr. Branscom has previously pre-viously served two terms as president of the Moab Chamber of Commerce, and has been a member of the Hospital Board for a number num-ber of years. |
