This year's goal is 140 pints. TO THE CITY. . . Mr. and Mrs. Leland Tld-well Tld-well made a trip to Salt Lake City the latter part of the week, where Leland received medical attention. They went on out to Tooele to spend a day with the Grant Hammond family. Helen comments that on the way to Price, there were several antelope along the road, and It was a great thrill to see so many of them. Several Sev-eral small groups were grazing graz-ing near enough to get a good look. 'TIS SPRING, 'TIS SPRING... Water came Into the canal this week. This Is the first definite sign of spring, and since the weather has been too cold to start the asparagus, getting It watered early will mean fat spears and good flavor. It should be good In the next week or so. SENIOR CITIZENS. . . The Senior Citizens hosted a party at the multi-purpose room at the school house on Saturday evening. Among those present were Mrs. Edna Ed-na Roblson from Hanksvllle. Entertainment consisted of the Outlaw Trails film, and everyone commented to Edna that she started the whole thing; most of the participants were her family. CONVALESCING. . . Royd Hatt, son of Mayor and Mrs. Rey Lloyd Hatt, Is gradually recovering from his recent operation on his hip. His cast is bulky and awkward, but he Is endeavoring endeavor-ing to lead as normal a life as possible. He goes to school a couple of times a week to practice, and will participate In the music festival on April 29. , CALIF. VISITOR. . . Mrs. Jane Transue Is spending a few days with her daughter and family, Mrs. A.C. Ekker. While here, she Is helping Bev clean and renovate reno-vate the Howland Motor Lodge for the coming tourist season. sea-son. CANCER DRIVE. . . Mrs. Florence Howland, president of Woman's Club wishes to thank not only the members of the Club who carried out the campaign, but also the townspeople who gave so generously. The sum of $475.95 was collected and sent In. HISTORICAL SITES. . . Alan Roberts of the Utah Historical Society spent Friday Fri-day afternoon In town taking pictures of some of the buildings build-ings that may be worthy of Historical Site designation., Pictures were taken and brief historical material gathered ga-thered oftheold Jail, the Community Com-munity Church, Legion Hall, Midland Hotel, the Water Wheel at Hastings, and the Hatt home, the Polltano place, which wasorlglnally theDahl-Ing theDahl-Ing home, and the Sam Wilson home belonging to Dean King. Mr. Roberts expressed considerable Interest In these places, and stated that this was merely a reconnolssance trip, and he would be back later to make a more complete survey. Anyone wishing to enter some site Is urged to write to the Historical Society and give a history of the place and send one or two pictures. BRITHDAY SUPPER. . .
