Show County Pledqes Airline Case Funds Grand County Commissioners Com-missioners met Monday in regular session and approved the apportionment apportion-ment of up to $5,000 to be used as payment for part of the legal fees in the fight to keep service to Moab from Frontier Airlines. The Commissioners Commis-sioners also agreed to send a representative to Price to attend the hearing held Tuesday regarding certification of a third level carrier to serve the route from Moab to Price and on to Salt Lake City. They agreed that the County should not lend its support sup-port to any of the three carriers applying for the certificate until such time as the Frontier issue is-sue is settled. Commissioners were also informed by letter from the State Department Depart-ment of Health that the regulations regarding sanitary disposal at Lions Park were being violated. The letter recommended re-commended overnight camping at the facility be prohibited unti such time as the regulations are met. The letter indicated in-dicated that it would be up to the Southeastern Utah Health District to take care of enforcement of the matter. Meeting with the Commission Com-mission was a representative repre-sentative of the State Hospital at Provo, who discussed the continuation continu-ation of the supplemental supplement-al food program in this area. It was agreed that the state would deliver the food and the county would be responsible for distributing it. It was agreed that the Community Com-munity Action Program representatives would be contacted to make such distribution. It was agreed that the County would purchase grass seed to plant along the old Cisco Springs .road which has been torn up and replaced. |
