Show District Court Session Held Here Tuesday Trial for Jack W. Ca-gle Ca-gle was set for April 17. by Seventh Judicial District Dis-trict Court Judge Edward Ed-ward Sheya at the regular regu-lar session of court held Tuesday. Cagle is charged char-ged with uttering and drawing a check on a bank with insufficient funds and his trial will be before the court, sitting sit-ting without a jury. Upon motion of the attorneys at-torneys of both parties, in the case of the State of Utah, by and through the Trade Commission. versus City Market, the trial date was set for September 18, before the court. Judge Sheya explained ex-plained that this district has been reduced from two judges to one and that many cases have been set ahead and this was the earliest possible pos-sible date open. In the event other cases which are set for-earlier dates are settled or tried, itis possible that this case could be set for trial at an earlier date. In the case of the State of Utah versus Vanvalkenburg, who is charged with burglarizing burglariz-ing Lucille's Dress Shop trial was set to begin on May 16. beforea jury. Judge Sheya approved the first and final accounting ac-counting of Edward H. Seevers, deceased, and in the estate of Leonard H. Stocks and granted confirmation of sale of personal property in the Sinda Jackson estate. A letter of administration was granted in the Ralph Griffin estate. Judge Sheya also signed sign-ed orders of immediate occupancy by the Utah Power and Light Company Com-pany of the property belonging be-longing to Ray Bennett and Howard Balsley. Utah Power and Light is seeking to condemn real property belonging to these men for the erection, erec-tion, maintenance and transmittal of electrical energy. The courtawarded decrees de-crees of divorce in the case of Smith versus Smith and in the case of Donald Robinson versus Judith Ann Robinson. |
