Show Park Rangers Involve gf In Field Training V0rl C Some 22 National Park Service Rangers, both permanent and seasonal Sunday began a week-long week-long intensive field training session. In charge of the session are Chief Ranger Glen Alexander and Assistant Ranger. Dave May. The session includes camping out during the entire week with specific problems put forth each day of the session. These situations include such problems as rescue of an injured hiker, law enforcement, en-forcement, search and rescue and other problems prob-lems which might be encountered en-countered during National Na-tional Park Service duty. 'The purpose of the training train-ing is to make the employes em-ployes of the Park Service Ser-vice more responsive to the emergency situation as well as routine which might be encountered during the summer. It also strives to make the rangers more responsive respon-sive to visitors at the various areas of the Park. The meeting will end at Arches National Park on Fri lay with a trip into Arches and a general gen-eral discussion of the training with officials from the r. office. U: nv . |
