Show Town meeting planne in LaSal Jan. 19 A Town Meeting will be held in LaSal on Thursday, Jan. 19, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the school. This event will provide residents with an opportunity for getting community com-munity problems, needs and ambitions "right out front," for working together on finding find-ing solutions, and for planning for the future of the community. commun-ity. Town Meeting: Utah was developed by the Institute of Cultural Affairs, a non-profit research, training and demonstration demon-stration group concerned with getting people involved in their own communities. Town Meeting have been held in over 2,00 communities across the m tion. To date, nearly 20 Uta communities have held Tow Meetings. LaSal will repre sent San Juan county in th current plan to offer thi program to every county ii the state. At the conclusion of thi session, booklets summarizin) the accomplishments and stat ing ideas offered will h distributed to everyone whi is in attendance. |
