Their performance of sacred and soft rock music will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the new LDS Church Cultural Hall on 4th North and 4th West, should be enjoyed by the whole family, and all people in the Moab area are welcome. "A New Day" coming to Moab On college campuses throughout the nation music plays an important and integral part in the everyday lives of students. stu-dents. Such is the case with the students at the University of Utah. In May of 1977 a new performing group was organized and sponsored by the L.D.S. Institute of Religion at the University of Utah. The name of this group is A New Day. The name, A New Day, symbolizes sym-bolizes an optimistic belief in life and each day is "a new day" with new opportunities and challenges chal-lenges to be met. A New Day consists of 18 singers and dancers, a five-piece band and a sound and light crew. The music performed ranges from sacred to soft rock This combination of music, mus-ic, dance and message leaves each audience happy hap-py and uplifted. A New Day is currently performing concerts in 13 cities including St. Louis Denver, Grand Junction! Des Moines, Iowa and others. |
