On June 8 David L. Harmon appeared on a DUI charge. He entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced to pay a $250 fine and serve 40 days in jail. The motion was granted and Burke's bail was refunded. James Schlaak was arraigned ar-raigned on charges of issuing a series of bad checks. He appeared with counsel, Harry Snow, and entered a plea of guilty. He was sentenced to serve 90 days in the co-jity jail. Jiil sentence was suspended, sus-pended, and Schlaak was placed on 1 year probation and ordered to close1 all checking accounts. He was ordered to make restitution to the probation proba-tion office, and any probation violation will result in imposition of the jail sentence. On June 13, Lyle R. Hinsdale appeared on a charge of failure to keep dog under restraint. He entered a plea of innocent, and posted $50 bail pending trial, which is set for July 13 at 2 p.m. Geneva Fraser was arraigned ar-raigned on charges of issuing a series of bad checks. She was provided an affidavit of indigency and bail of $2,000 was continued. She was remanded re-manded to the custody of the sheriff and reappeared June 14, at which time she was determined indigent and Harry Snow was appointed to represent her. She was scheduled to appear June 15 with counsel for continued arraignment. |
