Show City Council Meeting Issues Flood Insurance Administration Adminis-tration representatives met with the Moab City Council Tuesday night to discuss flood hazard areas in Moab. The Moab area is presently in the emergency phase under this administration. Also, presented to the council was a report entitled "Flood Hazard Analysis for Moab and Area," by C. A. Hackbart, who is the River Basin and Water Shed Planning Plann-ing Staff Leader from the Soil Conservation Service from Salt Lake Ctiy. In other areas, public hearings were planned for ordinance changes in the areas of business licenses and dog ordinances. Discussion also went on concerning the agreement of purchasing the Ron and Joyce Robertson well by the golf course. The Council also past a motion for a mill levy for this years city budget at 19 Vi mill. It was recommended that new street lights be installed on Hillside Drive and also an extension of lights on Mountain Moun-tain View Drive. Also two bids were received for the city accounting service for this year by L. Auger and Thomas Stocks, action on this is planned for next Tuesday. A request was also made by Dannette Winfield for special on-street parking at the ball park for her food concession truck. The council will take later action on this but stated that she could presently park parellel on a first come first serve basis. |
