Show Pirate Nevis ... By Royd Hatt The Pirates failed to make he State playoffs in football as they were beaten by the North Sevier Wolves last Tuesday 6-34. The game was played in Emery on a neutral field. The pirates just couldn't get it all together. Coaches Bill Bacon and Art Hughes are proud of the football boys and the performances they made this year. Wednesday, Oct. 29, the Green River girls' volleyball team played the East Carbon Vikings at home. The J.V. team played first and was beaten in their first two games. When the Varsity played they won their first game 15-11 and the second game was won 15-10. The Varsity is 2-0 so far this season. The Halloween Carnival that was held at Green River High School Oct. 31 was a big success. The night started out with the costume parade and prizes were given to the winners. After the parade many game booths and snack bars were set up so everyone could have a good time. The booths were set up by classes and clubs. A large crowd was in attendance" and everyone had a good time. |
