Show Services Held In Fruita for Gerald Spears Gerald Levern Spears, 55, owner and) operator of-Ethel's of-Ethel's Cafe, Cisco, died (unexpectedly in the cafe Jan. 13 at about 8 a.m. of an apparent heart attack. A resident of Cisco for ten years, he lived previously prev-iously in Colorado for six years. He was born March 27, 1915, in Osawatomie, Kansas, and spent his childhood there. He served 4V years overseas with the U. S. Army during World War II. He was married to Ethel Matney in Thompson, Dec. 1, 1962. Survivors include his widow, mother, Mrs. Mamie Mallory, Ottowa, Kan3as; a son, Tony Lee Wood, Fort Ord, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Croan, Paola, Kansas, and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Jan. 17 in the Starks Chapri, Fruita, Colo., the Rev. David Mundy officiating. offic-iating. Burial was at Oso. watomie, Kansas. |
