Show Police News Two arrests were made and an accident investigated this week by Moab City Police, who report an otherwise quiet Pioneer Day week. On July 25 at about 4:30 p.m. Wendy Walker was driving a 1974 Jeep owned by Kevin Walker south on Main Street and changed from the inside to the outside traffic lane just before approaching Center St. A 1972 Buick driven by Funice Lawless Johnson, Stockton, Tex., was northbound north-bound on Main Street, and while making a left turn into Center St., collided with the Jeep. The Jeep had estimated damages of $1,500, and the Buick was a total loss. Ms. onnson was cueu ior uuuic to yield right of way. Two passengers in the Johnson vehicle, Mildred Francis, Moab Mo-ab and Harvetta Garth, Deter-ich, Deter-ich, III., suffered slight injuries injur-ies and were taken to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment. treat-ment. Ershal Ray Snow was arrested July 27 and charged with discharging a firearm within the city limits. Ed Lathum, 19, 802 Locust Ln., was arrested July 24 and charged with disorderly conduct con-duct in connection with a window peeking incident. |
